This build appears to have been created using the develop branch of the zm-build repository.
The below repo's are not part of the 10.0.6

Code:

https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/1010https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/1010-nehttps://repo.zimbra.com/apt/onlyoffice-1010
It seems Ian has good reason to build the development branch, so I'm curious. What exactly is the consequence of that? If I ask apt (on a system running 10.0.6 built by Ian), these are the versions from the different repos for Postfix:

Code:

# apt-cache policy zimbra-postfixzimbra-postfix: Installed: 3.6.1-1zimbra8.7b4.18.04 Candidate: 3.6.1-1zimbra8.7b4.18.04 Version table: *** 3.6.1-1zimbra8.7b4.18.04 500 500 https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/1000 bionic/zimbra amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.6.1-1zimbra8.7b3.18.04 500 500 https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/1000 bionic/zimbra amd64 Packages 3.5.6-1zimbra8.7b3.18.04 500 500 https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/1000 bionic/zimbra amd64 Packages 3.1.1-1zimbra8.7b1.18.04 500 500 https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/87 bionic/zimbra amd64 Packages
At least for a few packages I've tested, no candidates are available from apt/1010, only apt/1000. Will there be a risk of using wrong versions of support packages?

Anyway, I just did a test-upgrade using Ian's build zcs-10.0.6_GA_0124.UBUNTU18_64.20240101160812.tgz on a copy of my VM. I ran into these (small) issues:

1) It aborted because I apparently have NG modules installed. I never knew. It doesn't list what they are, but I found it in the install scripts. I did: apt remove zimbra-drive zimbra-chat.

2) At some point in the installation process, it starts to shutdown the running server. The script then hangs 10 minutes on "Shutting down zimbra mail". This is an issue that is also discussed on the forum elsewhere: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes. I've had this problem for years. Never been able to figure it out.

3) Then it complained about a port conflict:

Code:

Upgrade complete.Checking ldap status....not running.Starting ldap...done.Setting defaults...done.Setting defaults from existing config...done.Checking for port conflictsPort conflict detected: 53 (zimbra-dnscache)Port conflicts detected! - Press Enter/Return key to continue
It later showed a configuration menu, in which I disabled DNS cache.

Everything seems to work at first glance. I'm not sure what's new or changed though :).
