Mobility • Strange smtpd hostname lookup error against Mobile users ISP

Hello,

We have encountered a strange issue where some users on Mobile Phones cannot send email when on their home WiFi. They can send fine when they switch to their cellular data, which is a different ISP. Their phones connect to ZImbra using IMAP. SSL and SMTP Authorization is enabled. We are not having any other issues sending or receiving email.

When this happens we get the following error in our daily log as an example:

smtpd (total: 11)
11 hostname customer.sttlwax1.pop.starlinkisp.net does not resolve to address 170.203.223.86: Name or service not known

What is strange is this is NOT the user trying to send an email to starlinkisp.net. Starlink is their home WiFI ISP( Internet Service Provider ). When I see this entry the user has complained they cannot send email at all, to any domains. So this error is them trying 11 times to send an email to someone else, not to starlink.

Why would Zimbra being doing a DNS lookup against the ISP in order to send email and how can I allow this or turn this off? Really not understanding what is going on here, is this the smtp trying to route through the ISP email system for some reason and Zimbra is not setup for this?
