SpamAssassin

A future update of SpamAssassin in Zimbra will remove SORBS meanwhile since SORBS is on many places in SpamAssassin, one way to disable it is by adding the following configuration to your /opt/zimbra/data/spamassassin/localrules/local.cf file.

Code:

dns_query_restriction deny sorbs.net

Then as the OS user zimbra run the commands:

Code:

zmmtactl restart && zmamavisdctl restart

Please note that the SpamAssassin steps have not been validated by our QA team yet, so keep an eye out for updates on this blog post at blog.zimbra.com.

Thanks Barry,

SA has already removed the rules during a recent update. This was posted on the mailing list on June 6, 2024

You do not even need to do that.

All SORBS-referencing rules were removed from the updates.spamasssassin.org rules channel earlier this week. Scanning the latest deployed (by sa-update) version r1918114 I see no surviving references to SORBS.
I also verified on our Zimbra server and found no references to SORBS.
