Administrators • Adding Two Domains in Zimbra Server and Mapping one domain account to other domain account

Dear Members,

Hope you all doing well. I'm a little bit new to Zimbra and my issue is as follows. Before that, I'll list our current Zimbra mail information.

Zimbra server version - Zimbra 8.8.15_GA_4257 (build 20220324034943)
Company domain - xyz.com
MX - gatweway.xyz.com
User email - user1@xyz.com
Web Access - zmail.xyz.com

The mail gateway and Zimbra mail server reside on two different servers and have separate public IP addresses.

Our company email-sending domain (think it's xyz.com) has a bad reputation according to the Google Postmaster tool. This was happened due to one of the user accounts compromised and we took care of it on the same day. So currently we can't send emails to Gmail or Google Workspace domains.

So, as a temporary resolution, we created another domain in the same Zimbra server (think it's pqr.com). Thereafter, I created an alias on that domain and mapped it into our old domain user.

Old domain user - user1@xyz.com
Alias on the new domain - user1@pqr.com

From the user email web interface, we have changed the primary account setting from email to created new alias (user1@pqr.com).

As I mentioned above, we use ASSP as our gateway to reach the Zimbra mail server. After configuring this, we can send an email through that created domain alias account. But reply emails won't come to the Zimbra user mailbox. It hit the gateway but did not come to the user inbox (user1@abc.com).

Please note that this is a temporary solution until our main domain comes back to health and we need to send emails to Gmail users. So if anyone here can help me is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
